Last year Kobe's class took a field trip to a little pumpkin patch 5 minutes from where we live. I was excited to have one so close to our house that I couldn't wait until it opened! They have a petting zoo, hay rides, corn field maze, hay bales to play on, cut outs to put your face through and this year baby kittens :)

So today when I went to go meet with a bride & groom (who booked with us on the spot today :) ) Ben took Kobe to the pumpkin patch. My meeting went so quick I met them there a couple minutes after they got there.

Halloween Party!

Halloween is on a Wednesday this year so we are planning on having a Halloween party the Saturday night before Halloween. I like taking Kobe out Trick or Treating way too much to miss that so I thought this would be a good way to do both things. I have to check on when the youth group is having their party because I love helping with that too, so I am hoping that is on a Friday night!

So we will probably be having the party sometime starting between 5pm and 6 pm that evening. And YES it is a costume party for adults and a fun party for the kids! Down stairs we will be having all sorts of fun stuff for the little ones (and big ones if they want to play too) but we also will be having food, a pumpkin carving contest (so bring your master piece to be judged) and hopefully just having a lot of fun.

That is what I plan on so far, once I firm everything up I will post the final details!

Well, somehow he downloaded this song that is the theme song to one of his favorite cartoons (Ben 10) As soon as I heard it my mind started going and I thought it would be hilarious to make Kobe his own video to one of his favorite shows theme song!

Kobe's quote of the day

Kobe missed a week of school while he was sick. So he has/had quite a few homework papers to do. After his first day back we finished way more than half of what he needed to and today we have been working on a few of them. Kobe's attention spand isn't all that long today and alot of the papers are full pages to color, so Kobe has been fooling around, drawing little things, wiggling, ect. Well, he started breathing very heavily and noisily on purpose and I said "Kobe, just color." Kobe says back to me "I was just trying to get some fresh air in my nose!"

When I picked Kobe up from school wednesday I was a little shocked at how dirty he had managed to get himself. I don't know that anyone is quite as talented as him at getting filthy but it struck me as amusing so I took some pictures.

What a good sport!

Date Night

Every Friday night Ben plays basketball at church. So tonight Kobe and I had a date night. We went to Cici's for dinner and played 2 games of air hockey (which I have become a pro at because I am in charge of the game room every Thursday night at youth group, I have a feeling at the end of this school year I will be very good at pool as well).
After dinner we went to walmart and picked out some play dough and created our master pieces.
