I guess it finally caught up to all of us...

After the baby shower I got on the computer for a minute and when I got off this is what I found. :)

All that hard work has caught up to us :)

Bobbie's Baby Shower!

Thank you God for...

1. The perfect day
2. The perfect breeze
3. The perfect amount of people
4. The perfect amount of presents
5. The perfect Baby Boy to Celebrate

Today was just awesome!

Before and After (Main Bathroom)

Before

After

We didn't do much to the bathroom (I am a little scared for when we decide to dive into that :) ) but it does look better than it did :)

I had to take a picture of my little flower creation that all together cost $5 because I made it myself :) I have another one on the toilet tank in a cuter pot. I got the pots at the Target "Dollar Spot" and the flowers at walmart for $1.79 ea. I love them :)

Before & After (Front Door)

BEFORE

AFTER

My whole point in showing this is to show that the wooden bars to the right have been completely taken out. What a happy day that was :)

Before & After (Family Room)

BEFORE

AFTER

If the fireplace wasn't the same you wouldn't even know it was the same room would you? :) We are going to get a new gate to go in front of the fireplace, just haven't gotten to it yet :)

I Love this...

"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may hold to eternal life."

1 Timothy 6:17-19

Now, I am not trying to call myself rich (because trust me, we aren't ready to retire yet) but compared to so many we have so much and I love that it is our duty to do good! To make it a point to help others and do nice things. Thinking about some one else for a change! Live it! Rest in the Peace that only God gives, trusting in HIM for everything.

Before & After (formal dining room)

Before

After

Well, as you can see we are starting to put the house back together. Considering the fact that Bobbie's baby shower is tomorrow I think that is a good thing :)

Once we get the blinds up I will take a picture of the room now at the same angle as the before picture. Oh my goodness was that room a lot of work! I thought that would be the one room I didn't do anything to!

After things settle down we are going to get some pictures blown up and hang them on the far back wall, but for now this is it. I am quite minimalistic in my decorating, but I am sure as I get older and time passes I will collect plenty of things to fill the house up with. I am just it love with this room now. When you walk in the front door it is the first room you see.

(also, on the after picture in the middle of one of the walls in a reflections from the table that looks a little crazy, it isn't just my crazy painting skills :) )

Caleb

Sneak Peak (Plus I am so glad it rained yesterday!!!)

So here is a look at what Ben and I have been up to! (I will post pictures of the whole rooms after I put them back together. The picture of the wall is what the formal dinig room walls look like (sideways, because I didn't flip the picture before I put it on here) and the other picture is of the lights we chose. They are replacing the 3 main lights in the house because the other ones were gold and well I am not a big fan of that.

Yesterday we had the most wonderful rain come thru. I was so happy because some of the grass was starting to turn brown and Bobbie's baby shower is going to be outside (if weather permits) so I was happy that the rain watered all my plants for me and the grass!

God, Dad & Superman

Every night lately when Ben gets home he has been moonlighting as a professional handyman. Last night he fixes the gas leak, hung up the last set of blinds in the family room, unloaded ALOT of boxes of tile out of my car & and replace the light fixture in the Kitchen. And in the mist of all that sat down and played video games with Kobe and spent time with us.
We have been in such a push to finish what we have started. About a week and a half before the baby shower I am throwing my sister (June 30, 2007) I decided it was time to re-do the family room, formal dining room, little dining room, hall way that leads to the bed room, and indoor/outdoor room. OH boy. So my mom, who is one of the most generous women on the face of the earth, has come over and busted her butt with me to accomplish all of this. With out her I would still just be working on the first room I am sure.
As soon as all the rooms are put back together I will post some pictures. As of right now our house looks like I totally different house inside. It is awesome. It is so neat to see the gift God gave us turn into home.

GAS LEAK!

Ok, so the first day my Mom came over to paint I put some clothes in the dryer and started it. A few minutes later I opened the door to go out to the garage and smelled something. It smelled like some type of fuel. This has gone on now every time I use the dryer. So today I called consumers energy to come out and see if we had a gas leak.
When the worker got here I told him we had been painting. He immediately said "I think I know what you are smelling. Anytime you paint with oil based paint (which we did) the dryer will suck in the fumes and burn them and you would be able to smell them." So anyway, the SMELL was the paint. BUT he also went through and check everything with this meter thing to see if we had any leaks anyway and we did have a leak where the gas line goes into the dryer. He showed me what to do to fix it and said anyone could do it. So that smell was such a blessing! Even though it wasn't caused by a gas leak it lead us to one. I am so thankful God had us find that. I had decided to not paint the room that needed the oil base paint and then all the sudden decided to go for it. Now I know why God told me to paint it!

Bowling! (with the Whitehead/Wentzel's)

Kobe - before he was two

After seeing the video of Kendra saying all her "words" and "phrases" it reminded me of video I had of Kobe when he was about one and a half. I have a file specifically of all our videos off of our little camera, but these videos hadn't gotten put in with them so I haven't watched them in forever. It was so neat to go back and hear those little first words!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kendra!!!

Bobbie

Well, as Bobbie's due date approaches little David Gabriel is getting bigger and bigger!

Found

One "Kawasaki Childrens Battery Operated Harmonica" was found today in one Ben Wentzel's Superman gift bag. I don't know if Ben accidentally picked it up or if one Shelly Whitehead or Jason Whitehead slipped this into Ben's bag as to not have the toy make it home with their daughter who LOVED this toy, but regardless, it has been found and I assure you it will make it back to it's rightful own.

Family Reunion Pictures

Here are some of our pictures from the family reunion. (FINALLY)

I didn't want to just post them all because it would take up almost the whole blog :) so I thru them into a slideshow for your viewing pleasure :)

Happy Father's Day!!! {late}

On December 14, 2000 the man of my dreams took me out Christmas shopping and swept me off my feet. From our first kiss at a red light to this morning when he kissed me good bye, he has been the most amazing thing in my life.
On May 30, 2002 Ben gave me the greatest present I could have ever asked for, he made me a Mom. He gave me a beautiful baby boy that, with few exceptions, looks just like him.
Since then he has stood behind me 100% helping me make my dreams come true, believing in me when I didn't and encouraging me to keep going.
He comes home every night and plays with Kobe, no matter how exhausted.

He tells me how much he loves me every day without fail.

He is the best hugger in the world, not to mention the list at what he is the best at goes on and on.

I don't know if there has been even one day that he has put his needs before mine or Kobe's. He is amazing. I really cannot believe God made a man so fashioned after His own heart. I am blessed beyond what I can comprehend.

I love you, and Kobe loves you...so much!!!!

VBS

Kobe went to VBS tonight and had such a good time! They got to see a real airplane stunt show, make these cute hats (the whole reason for the picture) and play water games.

They also has a great message and several of the little ones raised their hands to be saved.
What a great night :)
