The kids have been having tons of fun playing together and so have we.

Lindsey & Ryan's Wedding
I am skipping over Christmas for today to go straight to Lindsey's wedding, or more importantly-the cake I slaved over all day! :P I'm j/k
We didn't take many pictures but here are some :)
It was SO good to see Grandma Ghent! Kobe and I didn't get to see Grandma at the family reunion because SOMEONE came down with chicken pox (perhaps my fault because I didn't immunize him against them...but that is beside the point)

Our Family CHRISTmas
CHRISTmas Eve morning Kobe opened his presents!
Here is a shot of this GIGANTIC stocking I found that I thought would be funny to put up for Kobe as a surprise, he thought it was great :)
Gotta love bed hair!
I call this Kobe's "Trained Monkey Pose". We didn't even have to remind him-he just turns to the camera and does it and goes on to the next present. Do you think he will end up in therapy over having is every move documented? They may come up with a new name for it-perhaps Truman Syndrome.
I LOVE the mess after opening presents! It always reminds me of when I was little!
Kobe with all his gifts-Santa must have lost his mind this year!
I love these boys.
Today I am decorating a wedding cake-I am pretty sure it is the most unnatural thing I have ever done the day after Christmas.

Christmas is almost HERE!!!
Kobe is so excited because Christmas Eve morning is when we have our RELAXED family CHRISTmas time together. We wake up when ever we want to, have breakfast and open our presents to each other. Then sometimes we go to the CHRISTmas Eve service or just get ready for Ben's family's CHRISTmas Eve get together. I am SO looking forward to Ben having a couple days off as is he!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day today and we will get to see most of you very soon!!!

There is snow-everywhere!
OK, it is 12:53 as in midnight. we just got home from having to DIG my jeep out of the church parking lot. Ben and I were at Mark and Cindy's tonight (I had to meet Ben at the church because Ben went to video tape church and I stayed at home with Kobe cause he has a cold so my car got left at the church and we rode in ben's car from church to my parent's house, back to mark and cindy's) so there is all this snow and the wind in making HUGE drifts-so high Ben's 4 wheel drive 4 runner gets stuck in a giant one when we try to pull out of their drive way.
so, ben and mark work and work and work and finally get the car unstuck. then i mention that my car is still over at the church and Mark says "your not going to be able to get it-people were having a hard time getting out way earlier today even"
so ben and i pull into the church drive way and see there is no way for us to get in to get my car or for my car to get out. It is 9 pm at that time.
so we called my bro in law dave who has a snow plow on his truck to see if he will plow a path out to the road so we can get my car-he says sure and comes to help us. they get about half way done plowing a path from the road to the parking lot and his truck starts giving him problems and the snow plow lift is draining the battery because it is going bad and it can't lift the snow plow. AFTER an hour (at least) of Ben and Dave working outside in 9 degree weather to switch out dave's battery with another one a kind hearted person with a plow on the front of their truck stops and plows the drive way the rest of the way, ben and dave get dave's car in good enough condition to drive it home and did I mention the whole time Kobe and I are sitting out in ben's car watching this?
what started at 9:30 pm ended at 12:30 am and i cannot tell you how glad I am to be home!!!

Quote of the Day from Kobe & Brooklyn - in the car on the way home from school
Brook: "My Mom has an eye on the back of her head."
Kobe: "Does she really have an eye?"
Brook: "Yes she does, my Dad has one too."
Kobe: "Maybe they are both aliens."
*silence*

Goodbye 1st Grade Class Christmas Party Hello Snow Day
Well, today was supposed to be Kobe's last day before Christmas break but it turns out yesterday was his last day! I haven't even looked outside yet to see how much snow we have gotten-I don't really want to know!
Wednesday Kobe's class had a field trip. They went caroling at to nursing homes. I cannot tell you how depressing those places are!!! The kids actually did brighten up these people's day but I was so ready to leave and ever since have been thinking about what I could maybe do to love on some of those people.
The kids did a great job singing and after wards went to Burger King to play so at least they all got to do something fun together before Christmas break.
This is a shot of Kobe and Gwen. They "like each other". Kobe is 6 and she is 7. I would just like to point out after watching Kobe and Gwen that Kobe is definitely his father's son and I was freaking out a little. Kobe is very affectionate-very affectionate. And Gwen eats it up. Goodness help us all-this is only the beginning!

Videos that have been cracking Ben and I up
A couple nights ago Ben & I were playing around with the Photo Booth program on our new computer. At first Kobe was just waving his arms in the video to watch them, then he wacked Ben in the head and it made the funniest (hallow I might add) sound that Ben let him do it again resulting in a video that looks like we let Kobe beat Ben. It was so funny :)

Basket Ball at the Point
This past Sunday was the first practice for the kids basketball league that the Point is hosting for the next few months.
Kobe & Griffin
Oh dear goodness, this picture cracks me up! Look at Zach's eyes! too funny :)Zach's dad is coaching the team
This is a good shot of the kids on Kobe's team. I don't remember what the name of their team is though!
Kobe shot 4 in a row in-Ben was so proud!!!
Thanks Ben for taking these great pictures! I love them!

The day one of my best friends died.
Saturday was a hard day for me. My iMac G5 decided to get sick and when we took him to the doctor the doctor said it was going to cost $900 to fix him. Considering it only costs $1199.00 to buy a new best friend I opted for that. We weren't that close anyway.
I will miss you old friend! You were very good to me. You gave me three solid years of no problems and lots of help! You made me lots of money, and did the work of a computer at least double your age. I don't hold it against you at all that you had to take a rest-you didn't owe me a thing after all you had done for me.
THIS is my new best friend. He is a little bigger and a little better-but I don't want his ego to get any bigger. So, that is what my Saturday was all about!

Changes-from an office to a bedroom
Well, our office is no longer an office, it is a blank canvas waiting for me to figure out what in the world to do with it. I have been stealing ideas for random websites and I think I have an idea of how I am going to decorate it :)
Here is the office before:
And here is is now...My Mom might come over on Monday to paint it. That will be nice to have done! Hopefully things will move quickly and I will have the room done very soon!!!
